RAMPACHODAVARAM: A special health camp for the adolescent girls was conducted at the government hospital at Addateegala under the National Rural Health Mission programme on Wednesday.
Inaugurating the camp, Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Project Officer C. Naga Rani said that efforts were on to protect the health of tribal women and girls by coordinating various departments.
She said that health camps would be conducted for the girl students of nine Ashram schools located at Addateegala, Gangavaram and Rajavommangi mandals.
Medicines would be distributed free of cost to the girls under the Jawahar Bala Arogya Raksha programme and health educators were being deputed to the remote areas to create awareness among the women about the importance of health and hygiene, said the Project Officer.
