Just one toilet for 80 employees

MANGALORE: The office complex, where about 80 people work in shifts round the clock, has just one toilet. About 15 women employees have no choice but to use the common toilet.


This has been the state of affairs at the Railway Mail Service (RMS) office located at the Central Railway Station here. The India Post employees as well as workers engaged on daily wage basis are forced to suffer this humiliation apart from bearing leaky roof, damaged floors and the walls that might collapse at any time.


Though there was one more toilet on the ground floor, the Railway authorities made it non-usable when water seepage was noticed, rued one of the workers at the RMS. The toilet had been dug up and no one can use it, he said. Read more....
