In the wake of the monsoon, the North and South Delhi Municipal Corporations launched a "sanitation and cleanliness drive" in the national capital Friday.
It is a week-long drive which will focus on solid waste lifting, cleanliness of public urinals, control of water and vector-borne diseases, repair and maintenance of roads, foot paths, pavements, maintenance of parks, functioning of parks, street lights and high-mast lights.
"The drive would make citizens more aware about sanitation and focus to make north Delhi more clean and green," said Yogendra Chandolia, mayor of the north Delhi corporation. Read more....
