VISAKHAPATNAM: Lack of proper hygiene and sanitation take the sheen off MVP Colony-Sector II to a large extent. Absence of dustbins makes way for disorganised garbage system. As a result, heaps of debris fill most vacant sites and street corners.
Residents say that chain-snatchers are taking advantage of non-functional streetlights.
“Women are a little worried about crossing some lanes as the streetlights are not working there. We have been receiving at least two such incidents every month,” says B. Ramakrishna Rao, a retired controller of examinations, Andhra University. Read more....
