Unicef and IDBI joins hands for ‘wash in schools’ project

Unicef India has joined hands with IDBI to provide safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) for school-going children in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. The project is part of the private sector bank’s corporate social responsibility programme worth Rs. 2.7 crore.

 

80,000 children

 

The Unicef’s “WASH in Schools” programme will directly impact 80,000 children in 400 schools and ‘anganwadi’ centres in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.
