IIHMR proposes to build 6,500 toilets in government schools, seeks CSR funds


Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke of the need for building toilets to protect the privacy and dignity of women, there is a mad rush for investing in the ‘toilet sector.'


In his Independence Day speech, Mr. Modi had asked the corporate sector to take up the cause as part of their coporate social responsibility (CSR) and MP Land Area Development funds. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has already announced to make Rajasthan ‘open defecation-free’ within two years and suggested building toilets should be made part of NREGA. Read more....
