NEW DELHI: Teachers will give students in South Delhi municipal primary schools a 30-minute lecture on the importance of hygiene on Global Handwashing Day this Wednesday.
In the South Delhi Municipal Corporation’s 589 primary schools, students will have to wash their hands before they are served the mid-day meals, said Education Committee chairperson Ashish Sood.
Mr. Sood added: “Half an hour will be devoted to educating the children about the need to wash their hands. Teachers will also ensure that the students wash their hands before eating their mid-day meals.” Read more....
