Lahore—Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) along with The Environment Protection Foundation (TEPF) organized clean Pakistan campaign titled ‘War against litter & shopper bags’ at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park. Campaign has been launched in response to Saaf India campaign recently introduced in the neighboring country in which key national personalities has keenly participated to motivate masses for health and cleanliness.
Campaign at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park was led by TV artist Adeel Hashmi, CEO TEPF Zar Aslam and Head of Communication Department LWMC Jamil Khawar. Some 500 students from Lahore Grammar School system, Saint Anthony, Saint Joseph, SOS children village and CDGL schools swept the venue with brooms and collected litter and plastic bags scattered in the recreational public place.
