Treatment and Disposal of Waste Water

 

Delhi Jal Board is responsible for treatment and disposal of waste water through an efficient network of about 7000 Km of Sewage lines across Delhi. DJB has provided sewage facilities in all the approved colonies, all 44 re-settlement colonies and 126 urban villages, 541 unauthorized-regularized colonies and 100 unauthorized colonies. 

At present, Delhi Jal Board is supplying around 830 MGD of drinking water to population of Delhi.The sewage generated @ 80% is as per CPHEEO norms and is estimated aout 680 MGD. There are 36 Sewage Treatment plants at 21 locations.
